My thoughts…
This was a quick read and has great potential to develop into a really good storyline.
A few parts of the books were a little ‘out there’ – I’m not sure whether that was the novella style of the book (trying to move things along quickly to get to the crux of the story?) or not but it did make me pause for a bit. Relationships were formed quickly, lives were changed quickly, it all seemed a bit too neat and tidy.
I really enjoyed the two main characters though! And look forward to reading more about them in the future.
About the book…
What if your life had never really been what it seemed?
If you were given the chance to discover the secret behind your double life, would you take it?
Ella Holder was given that chance.
After Ella found herself alone and at a mid-life crossroads, the past began to infiltrate the present. One day, in the peace and tranquillity of the Northumbrian coast, the two collided, sending her on an international adventure to unravel a mystery and trace an elusive Key which threatened to change the world order.
It forced her to make decisions and take actions risking not only her life but also those closest to her, and it became clear that bringing her past into her present may be the only way to survive.
But could she do it? Saving the world was one thing, but was she brave enough to love again?
In a tense, page-turning romantic thriller, follow Ella as she faces hard truths, lies, and fears to protect the world she once had and find her new place in it.

About the author in her own words…
I’m a wordsmith with a love of both the written and spoken word. When I don’t have my head in a book or am tapping away on my laptop, I can be found either shopping at a local farmer’s market, wandering around a brocante looking for old cookware and china or chatting over a bottle of wine with friends in my adopted French homeland.
After spending over 20 years in international project and risk management I moved to the French countryside and returned to my passion for writing and books. My first short story collections were published in 2015 and 2016.
