This was a beautifully claustrophobic book! Not often two words that I would pair together but everything about how the setting of this book was written – a remote Institution – the worlds highest security prison hospital – had me feeling uncomfortable but hooked.
The tension throughout this book was extreme. Edge-of-the-seat kind of tension. It was also incredibly disturbing. The graphic descriptions were a tough read but really added to the atmosphere. This was also an impossible plot – I had no idea who the killer was (how could you guess when you’re in a building of killers!) and loved the unravelling towards the end.
If you’re a fan of Lucy Clarke, Gillian McAllister, Carla Kovach, Daniel Cole, M J White and Chris Carter, then you will definitely enjoy this book!
