Hosted by the Tea Leaves & Reads Bookshop, join us 1pm – 2pm on Sunday 10th November 2024. CJ will be in conversation with bestselling Author of Eat Slay Love, Julie Mae Cohen.

Tickets are £5 per person (includes fees) without a book or £11 per person with the book (includes a signed copy of The Bad Seeds) which you can collect on the day. C.J’s other books will be available for purchase too and are also in our online shop. There will be a chance to ask questions, have the books you have purchased from us signed/dedicated and enjoy a soft drink as part of the ticket price. Julie Mae Cohen’s book is available to pre-order here.

The Bookshop will be open 10 – 12 and then again shortly after the event. Please note, the event will be held in the Fairground Hall, opposite the Bookshop.

C.J. Skuse is the author of the five-book killer comedy series Sweetpea (HQ/HarperCollins) plus six other novels.

She was born in 1980 in Weston-super-Mare and has two first-class Creative Writing degrees as well as experience working in local newspapers and publishing. She now works as a Senior Creative Writing Lecturer at Bath Spa University where she lectures on the undergraduate, postgraduate and research programmes, specifically the world-renowned MA in Writing for Young People which has produced more than 80 published children’s authors since its inception in 2004. She is currently undertaking a PhD by Publication at the University of Gloucester.

Her novel Sweetpea has been adapted for TV by See Saw Films and is set to stream on Sky Atlantic this autumn. C.J Skuse will also be a Tea Leaves & Reads Book Club Author in November 2024 with her first novel, Sweetpea. Further details to follow soon.

The Location

Tea Leaves & Reads is located at The Fairground in Weyhill, Hampshire.

The main event will be held at The Fairground Hall, opposite the bookshop. For accessibility queries please contact us or visit the village hall website.

Tickets

When you purchase a ticket you will receive an email receipt which will include your order number and name – these will be used to confirm entry to the event. Please keep this safe as this is your admission ticket on the day.

Parking & Travel 

By car: Available parking on-site is free.

By bus: The number 8 bus runs regularly from Andover bus station to the gates of the Craft Centre.

By rail: From Andover train station, it is best to walk to the bus station and then catch the number 8 bus. Alternatively it is about a 10 minute ride by taxi to the Fairground from the train station.

Refunds

Tickets are non-refundable. Please note that there may be circumstances beyond our control that mean an Author cannot attend. In the unlikely event of full cancellation, Tea Leaves & Reads will initially transfer tickets to a new date. A refund will be given if an alternative date cannot be found.
