Come and spend an afternoon in the warm, light and feel-good setting of The Fairground to celebrate the publication of Amanda Prowse’s latest book and enjoy a little bit of warmth and laughter in the depths of mid-winter.
Amanda Prowse invites you to join her at The Fairground in Weyhill to celebrate the launch of her brand new book, This One Life. Your ticket will include a copy of Amanda’s book which you can have signed and dedicated on the day. You will also be treated to a wonderful cream tea, unlimited hot drinks, and an opportunity to hear an extract from the book and ask your questions. Amanda will also be joined by Penny Dommett who will be interviewing her to find out more about her writing journey, publishing, and the inspirations for This One Life.
Books purchased in advance from Tea Leaves & Reads will be signed on the day and dispatched shortly afterwards. A special pre-order introductory price of £5 for the event ticket is available between 14th November and 14th December 2025. Full price tickets thereafter will be £10 each.

Penny is also the proud and embarrassing (her words!) Mother of the very talented and funny Joel Dommett.

The Location
Tea Leaves & Reads is located at The Fairground in Weyhill, Hampshire.
The main event will be held at The Fairground Hall, opposite the bookshop. For accessibility queries please contact us or visit the village hall website. Doors will open at 12:45pm.
Tickets
When you purchase a ticket you will receive an email receipt which will include your order number and name – these will be used to confirm entry to the event. Please keep this safe as this is your admission ticket on the day.
Refunds
Tickets are non-refundable. Please note that there may be circumstances beyond our control that mean an Author cannot attend. In the unlikely event of full cancellation, Tea Leaves & Reads will initially transfer tickets to a new date. A refund will be given if an alternative date cannot be found.
Tickets may be transferred but you will need to contact us and let us know the order number and the new attendees name. For further queries please see our terms and conditions.
Book Signings
The ticket price includes a copy of the book kindly provided by Amanda Prowse. Additional titles by Amanda will be available on the day to purchase and have signed/dedicated.
Food and Drink
A Vintage Cream tea will be provided mid-afternoon with hot drinks available throughout. Please let us know in advance if you have any dietary requirements.

Parking & Travel
By car: Available parking on-site is free. Where possible, if attendees could car share if coming with friends/family that would be appreciated.
By bus: The number 8 bus runs regularly from Andover bus station to the gates of the Craft Centre.
By rail: From Andover train station, it is best to walk to the bus station and then catch the number 8 bus. Alternatively it is about a 10 minute ride by taxi to the Fairground from the train station.
