This a book about two women, both widowed, decades apart. I have to admit, it did take me a while to read this book, I almost felt like there were two stories within it that would have been perfectly good books on their own and probably easier to manage. It wasn’t until about two thirds through the book that the link between the two stories became more apparent and I think this is what made it drag a little. There is the common theme – widowed, managing life and a child/children e.t.c. That being said, both back stories on their own were great and I was hooked to find out exactly what was going on.
