Book Club Zoom Events
We’re delighted to bring you the opportunity to hear from our Book Club Authors at our monthly zoom events. Customers who purchase the book club title through our bookshop will automatically receive an email inviting them to the event
one week before. These events are currently free of charge and open to everybody, however customer and local book club member attendance is prioritised.
The events are usually held in the last week of the month, giving you plenty of time to read the book club choice in advance if you wish. They last for one hour and the format usually includes questions and answers with the Author. You can send in questions in advance either when you sign up or by emailing [email protected] and we can ask them on your behalf or you can arrange with us to ask them on the night.
Usually there’s a a quiz related to the Author and an opportunity to win bookish prizes throughout the evening too. Our online events are highly praised, we often get to hear an Authors book news ahead of public reveals, obtain insight into their writing process and inspiration for their books and occasionally meet their props, pets and special guests!
During our zoom events you’re welcome to leave your camera on or switch it off, and we ask that attendees remain muted unless asking a question. We have a lively chat function going on for the duration of the event which attendees are welcome to use to discuss the book and ask extra questions – if we have time.
