Be the first to hear our bookish news!

Winter is just around the corner — time to wrap up warm, sip something cosy, and celebrate the most magical part of the season (in our opinion): books!

At Tea Leaves & Reads, we love embracing the Icelandic tradition of Jólabókaflóðið — the Christmas Book Flood — where books are gifted on Christmas Eve and enjoyed late into the night. Our special Jólabókaflóðið Box is the perfect way to share that joy. Thoughtfully curated and beautifully packaged, it’s a festive treat for book lovers everywhere.

Dispatching from 5th December 2025 — just in time to make your Christmas Eve extra special or to be enjoyed when you have a moment across Winter.

If you’re ready to cosy up with your next dose of winter warmers, spine-tingling chills, and heart-racing thrills, or eager to stock up on atmospheric reads perfect for long, frosty nights, then look no further than our Winter Warmers & Chills Feature – bringing you the freshest literary picks of this season.

Rafi Dubois is five years old when his mother is murdered after the Battle of Crecy in 1346. Alone and lost, Rafi is given a token by the dying Englishman who tried to save his mother’s life: a half-broken family seal which he urges Rafi to return one day to Winchester.

When he reaches Winchester, Rafi finds himself in a turbulent world full of long-held allegiances, secrets and treachery. His path is fraught with danger and with powerful enemies working against him

Our Blog

We have read books for over thirty years (or over sixty years if you combine our ages!). We often read and review books ahead of publication thanks to the generosity of many authors and publishers that we are connected with which helps us to know what’s coming and what we should be putting in our boxes.

Huge thanks to Julie Haworth for persevering through a horrible virus to give us some written answers to our questions instead of our online book club zoom event. Hi Julie! We’re so sorry not to be chatting to you this evening but thank you for doing […]
